Insurance Options
We strongly recommend insuring your painting for its full value:
- Full-value insurance — 2% of declared painting value (min. €10). Covers loss, theft, and damage during transit
- Basic carrier liability — included free, but limited to a low per-kg amount (typically €20–25/kg)
- Extended liability — approx. €4–5 per shipment via DHL/UPS for enhanced basic coverage
For original artwork, we always recommend full-value insurance. A €500 painting costs just €10 to fully insure.

Customs & Import Information
EU Countries
Turkey is not in the EU, so customs duties may apply. Original artwork (HS code 9701) often qualifies for reduced or zero import duty in many EU countries, but VAT is usually charged at the destination country's rate.
USA & Canada
Original paintings are generally duty-free under Chapter 97 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule. A Merchandise Processing Fee (0.35% of value, min. $27.75) applies in the US. Canadian GST/HST may apply.
United Kingdom
Original artwork imports to the UK benefit from a reduced 5% VAT rate. No customs duty on original paintings. Shipments over £135 require customs declaration.
Other Countries
Import duties and taxes vary by country. We provide all required customs documentation, including a certificate of authenticity and commercial invoice. The buyer is responsible for any import duties and local taxes.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does shipping take?
Domestic (Turkey): 2–4 business days. Europe: 3–7 days. USA/Canada: 5–10 days. Asia/Australia: 5–14 days. Preparation takes 1–3 business days before shipping. These are estimates for express service; standard shipping takes approximately 30–50% longer.
Do you ship to my country?
Yes! We ship to virtually every country in the world. Our carriers cover 220+ countries and territories. If your country is not listed in the calculator, select "Rest of World" for an estimate, or contact us for a specific quote.
Is insurance included in the price?
Basic carrier liability is included, but it typically covers only €20–25 per kilogram, which is far below the value of original artwork. We strongly recommend full-value insurance at 2% of the painting's value (min. €10) for complete peace of mind.
Who pays customs duties and taxes?
Customs duties and local taxes (VAT, GST, etc.) at the destination are the buyer's responsibility. We ship DAP (Delivered at Place), meaning the painting is delivered to your address and you handle any import formalities. We provide all necessary customs documentation. If you prefer DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), contact us for a quote that includes duties.
What if my painting arrives damaged?
If you purchased full-value insurance, file a claim immediately. Photograph any damage to the packaging and the painting before removing packing materials. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We will assist with the insurance claim process and work to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
Can I pick up a painting in Antalya?
Absolutely! Local pickup from our studio in Antalya is free of charge. Please contact us to arrange a convenient time. This is the best option if you're visiting Antalya or Turkey.
How are paintings packaged?
Each painting is wrapped in acid-free glassine paper, padded with foam corner protectors, and placed in a rigid cardboard box or custom wooden crate (for larger works). We add bubble wrap and shock-absorbing fill. The outer packaging is marked "Fragile" and "This Side Up".
Does my painting come with a certificate of authenticity?
Yes! Every KrykunArt painting ships with a signed Certificate of Authenticity at no extra charge. We also offer optional official copyright registration through the Turkish Ministry of Culture. Learn more on our Certification & Authenticity page.
Can I get a more accurate shipping quote?
